I think it is next to the brake pedal at the top. When you press on brake the switch button comes out putting the elect to the light bulb.
May just need another brake light switch at an auto store. look up under dash to the top of brake pedal arm you should see switch next to steering col-um .
Check the brake light switch. It should be mounted on the upper part of the brake pedal or the brake pedal frame. If the brake lights go off when you unplug it you have a stuck or shorted switch.
