Gotta be something in the door switches(aluminum foil?) or it's not plugged in right.. a wiring diagram may be available at your local library (shop manuals) and you might want to check the colors of the wires into the module...but it sounds like a "cross ground" situation...look to all the door switches.. good luck d
When an anti theft system light comes on while driving a 98 Chevy Malibu, the problem is usually caused by the Security Module. The security module is part of the Ignition Lock Module.
The security module has gotten confused. To correct, disconnect the the hot lead of the battery for about 3 minutes and then reconnect it. This resets the module and the light should not be on until the remote security lock button is pressed.
The brakes.
The security module on 2002 Ford Explorer is on the passenger side, second row behind the seat belt panel.
Voltage Regulator Module(VRM)
remove distribtrer cap, remove distributer.un plug from pick up coil.remove two bolts holding module..must use dielectric lube supplied with new module...coat entire metal surface before installing new module..distributer must be at top dead center when installing distributer unless you marked posision of rotor prior to removing....
no
I disconnected mine by unplugging the security module located under the dash. This is a small, approximately 3 inch square cube black in color with the words "security module" printed on it. It just unplugs and will disable your alarm and security system in the car.
Ignition module bad.
VTSS stands for vehicle theft security system
No idea what the module is ... but ... running as an administrator made it work fine for me.
Short in the circuit, the circuit is overloaded, or you are installing too small a fuse.
