Yes! Unfortunately you will have to take the VIN number to a Ford dealer, and maybe some sort of proof that you own the vehicle (like the title and a picture ID) and they will be glad to help you. The reason I say unfortunately is because they may nail you on the price. Alternatively if it isn't a coded key and it is just a regular metal key you could call a locksmith to come out and make you a new one. Around where I live they charge anywhere between $35 and $75 to do it.
Ford Dealership should be able to help. If not you may have to replace the ignition and steering column .$$$.

A Ford dealership can replace the key using the VIN located on the dashboard, if keys are available. At present, they are for post year 2000 trucks. ( 15 Apr '10). Mine is '96!
To replace a lost key for a 1989 Ford F-150, you can obtain a new key by visiting a Ford dealership with your vehicle's Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and proof of ownership. Alternatively, you can take the ignition lock cylinder to a locksmith who can create a new key based on the lock's tumblers. If you have a spare key, you can also use it to have duplicates made. In some cases, you might need to replace the ignition lock cylinder if no keys are available.
