If it's a Taurus GL, you would also have to bypass the Power steering pump. Recently my A/C compressor ceased up on me. I tried bypassing the compressor but the belt ran against a hose that was near the PS pump so I had to shorten it to include only the water pump and alternator. I had to also drop the alternator ( reomoved the anchor bolt) to make the shorter belt fit. I am still driving the car but no A/C or Power Steering. The best thing to do would be to go to your nearest auto wreckers and get a used compressor. hope this helped.
To bypass the air conditioning compressor on a 1993 Mercury Topaz, you'll need to remove the drive belt from the compressor pulley. First, locate the serpentine belt tensioner and use a wrench to relieve tension on the belt. Once the belt is off the compressor, you can either leave it off or reroute the belt to bypass the compressor entirely, ensuring that the belt remains taut around the remaining pulleys. Be cautious to check for proper alignment and tension on the new belt setup.
Your 1993 Ford Taurus air conditioning system has a Freon capacity of 5.5 pounds. You should never overfill the air conditioning Freon.
You can find the 1993 Mitsubishi air conditioning service port on top of the air conditioning compressor. The air conditioning service port will be labeled as the low pressure port.
The 1993 Ford Ranger air conditioning charge valve can be found on the top of the air conditioning compressor. The charge valve will be marked as the low pressure valve.
The low pressure connection for your 1993 Jeep Cherokee air conditioning system is located on the top of the air conditioning compressor. There is a low pressure connection and a high pressure connection, both should be labeled.
if you mean re-routing the belt in some way to avoid the a/c compressor...then no..you cannot...
I had a 1995 buick lesabre and the A/C compressor went out in the winter time. I waited until spring to replace the compressor. In the mean time, I used a Dayco 72.10 inch belt and bypassed the A/C compressor and it runs fine.
To bypass the AC compressor relay on a 1993 Ford Thunderbird, you can use a jumper wire to connect the relay's terminal that corresponds to the compressor activation. First, identify the relay location in the fuse box and determine the correct terminals using a wiring diagram. Ensure the ignition is off before making connections to avoid electrical shorts. Once the jumper is in place, turn on the ignition, and the compressor should engage if everything is functioning properly.
you need to drain all the freeon out of the system. take the belts off. and take the bolts on the compressor out. its best to get under the truck. and there is a lot of wiggling to get out.
The 1993 Chevrolet suburban C 1500 5.7 liter engine air conditioning system has a Freon capacity of five pounds. The Freon capacity should never be exceeded.
it would be a 5 by 6 belt for a magnum for a Lexus you would need a 3 by 7
Connect the Freon bottle to the low pressure port on your air conditioning compressor. Release the Freon into the compressor. The purchase of a Freon recharge kit will make the process quite simple.
