Yes it will.
The bodies of the two trucks would have to be an exact match. Otherwise the new dash will have to be modified to fit.
It is possible, but there is a large difference in the dash/wiring/etc. Besides the dash, the wirhing harness for the dash as well as the harness for the motor and the radio harness will need to be changed.
You can if the 1990 truck is a 4x4.
Yes.
Pull the dash forward. There are only 2 bolts holding it in place. One on the right and one on the left. It's not TOO hard to get to, not Too hard to change, but takes a LOT of time and patience to put the dash back.
I bought a 1994 silverado dash cluster, to put in my 1990 silverado because i was told it would fit. I took the old one out, and was going to put the 1994 silverado cluster in, but the plug in the back was not the same, but I have been told several times that it would work, so i am not sure, perhaps the plug can be changed With the first answer, im not sure about the plugs. But everything else from an 88-98 interchange so i don't see why it wouldn't
NO. If you KNOW what you are doing You can put them in with a hammer and a drift pin.
No you can not. The computer is programed to run the 700R4 transmission.
put the parking brake in, then put the truck in 1st gear pop the dash cover off and then remove bolts from stereo.
Yes, a dash is typically used between two years to indicate a range, such as "1990–2000." This format shows that the period spans from the beginning of the first year to the end of the second. However, when referring to a specific year, no dash is needed, such as in "in 1990."
the only way i have found is put the parking break on 1 click where the break is not doing any thing but it shuts the running lights off and if you only do it 1 click the park break light does not come on on the dash
yes
