what transmission are you going to run? and what intake do you plan to run? you can redrill your 94 to fit the old block. does your have EGR and what elec you goin to run
The heads will fit the block, but the vortec intake manifold will not bolt to the old style heads.
A 4.3 is essentially a 350 with 2 cylinders cut off. The 4.3 belhousing will bolt to both small & big block Chevy v8s as well as the newer LS style engines.
I do believe that both have a 2.0 engine. However, in the 6 years between 1994 and 2000 I'm sure that there have been updates and changes to the block, such as bolt locations for the head, manifolds, engine mounts, accessories that would make the older block unsuitable or incompatible for use in the newer car.
It is on the bottom of the engine block, just a normal hex bolt.
no they won't in 2002 they changed the bolt pattern with the body style. the 2002 and newer are much larger that the 90's style
If your talking about the 400(m) style motor then no it won't. The 400 has the "big block" bolt pattern, you would need a 4 sp from a big block motor to fit.
this swap can be done and it will work as far as the motor is concerned. BUT the bolt holes on the block may be different or not there at all as far as accessories and such that bolt to the front of the motor if using it in a newer vehicle. if using it in an older vehicle you will have to get the harness for the efi and ignition to work or order an aftermarket harness for the older vehicle to newer wiring harness for efi and ignotion.
No it will not, The holes in the block that hold the motor mounts are in a different location. Truck engines won't bolt up to car mounts, and car engines won't bolt up to truck mounts.
The 1994 would have a bolt on pulley while the 1998 had a pressed on pulley. Other than that they are same. A new pump would be of the pressed on pulley style. The 1994 would have a bolt on pulley while the 1998 had a pressed on pulley. Other than that they are same. Any small block or big block Chevy from the late 60s through the end of that block style around 2000. A 4.3 V6 should bolt up in there too, and maybe the 2.8 and maybe even the 3.8.
Yes. Same dimensions.
Yes it will bolt right up.
