The thermostat on a 1992 LeSabre should be inside of the top radiator hose inlet. You can easily change it by removing the top hose and water inlet.
just changed it today, located right side of engine, under to the right of the engine cover , has wires coming off it looking like a bolt,, water will come out when you loosen the bolt.

Drain the radiator. Remove the LeSabre's top radiator hose. Unbolt the engine water inlet and remove to reach the thermostat. Pull the thermostat out and slide in the new one. Reinstall the inlet and hose before filling the system with new coolant.
