(the truck manufacturer) are no longer affiliated with each other, by the way. Volvo Cars was sold to Ford Motor Corporation, who I believe later sold it to Tata Motors.
At one time they did own Volvo. Ford sold Volvo to Geely Automobile of China in July 2010.
The answer below is incorrect. Volvo engines are made by Volvo. Ford oversees the company but agreed not to make any manufacturing changes when the deal was made. Yes I believe Ford bought out and started Making Volvo engines in the 2000's

I own a Volvo. Ford never built Volvos nor does the company (geely) who bought Fords interest in Volvo. That cars have always been built by Volvo in Sweden or one of its sister European countries.

Volvo trucks are manufactured in Sweden, as that is the country they originated from. They are also manufactured in Dublin, Virginia from the United States. 13 other countries manufacture Volvo trucks.
Ford does in fact manufacture a hybrid f-150 truck. Ford is the leading manufacturer of hybrod vehicles, and they are looking to begin producing more.
