The effectiveness of automotive leak inhibitors vary dependent to the level of damage/degradation of the engine, transmission, cooling, and steering systems seals and gaskets. Engine oil stop leaks seal to recondition seals. Severely degraded seals and gaskets usually require replacement.
I used Lucas stop leak not a fix but it does work....
If you can afford to fix it right that is a better option. Otherwise it depends where the leak is. Bars Leaks 2 Part Engine Fix works great and even will restore engine performance.
You need to replace the manifold and use Felpro Gaskets.
Check your oil. If it looks like a milkshake, the leak is internal to the engine through a cracked cylinder wall, cracked cylinder head, or blown gasket.
almost never
try using power sterring stop leak, if they doesnt work, find out what is leaking, and replace the worn hose or broken seal
It should work assuming the leak isn't too big. Try it you have nothing to loose.
Are you sure it is a antifreeze leak? If so ,stop leak will not help heater core leaks. But make sure that is the problem.
Try using ail with a stop leak additve (high mileage oil)if you don't want to get under it. If that doesn't work you've got to find the leak(sometimes this is hard). It helps to clean the engine off first(Engine Brite Foaming Cleaner or the like). You can then try tightening the bolts around the part that is leaking. This may not work. You'll have to replace gaskets/reseal the mating parts.
NO! its like looking for a magic pill to make you younger or live longer. Do not use it you will clog up the entire system and wind up replacing it. Find the leak and properly repair it. YES IT WILL STOP THE LEAK BUT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED ASAP IT IS NOT WISE TO US IT BUT IT WIL STOP A SMALL LEAK.
I have been doing transmission work for about five years and in that time the only way I have ever stoped a rear main seal leak is to remove the transmission andflywheel. There are no bolts to tighten.
The transmission will not work without fluid.
