The knock sensor on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3100 engine is typically located on the engine block, near the rear of the engine, on the driver's side. It's often positioned between the intake manifold and the engine block, close to the cylinder head. To access it, you may need to remove some components like the intake manifold or other nearby parts, depending on the specific layout of your engine. Always consult a repair manual for precise instructions and diagrams.
The MAP sensor is located on the upper intake manifold plenum towards the rear of the engine compartment. It will be screwed into a metal bracket with two 7mm bolts. There will be a green connector connected from the bottom of the sensor and there will also be a vacuum line connected to the sensor as well. Look to the left of the EGR valve and you will see the MAP sensor.
If u have the 3100 engine you have to remove the air intake box and bellow for AIT sensor look down you'll see the low side connection for charging th A/C. i have a 3100 but its not along the firewall towards the middle?
You would need to call a parts house and they can answer that for you.
