How to remove the transfer case on a ford F150 truck year model 2001?

Well this is a fairly straight forward process. You're going to have to remove both drive-shafts at the transfer case, they can hang there. Then remove the electrical connections at the speed sensor and the 4 wheel actuator. Drain the fluid out of the transfer case. Be careful, there will be fluid coming out between the case and the transmission when you get the bolts out of the transfer case. I believe they are 13mm headed bolts. About 6 of them. If your stout enough, you can separate the transfer case, let it swivel down from the alignment dowel pins and slide it out without the use of a floorjack. The case itself isn't very heavy at all. Good luck.
