Key on, engine not running...41-47psi Engine idling...W/vac. hose attached 31-44psi. Enging idling..W/O vac. hose attached 42-50psi. These fuel pumps will stop working when they get hot and start working when they cool off. Just let it idle a little while while watching the pressure guage to see if pressure drops out when the stalling problem occures. Crankshaft position sensors CAN act the same way when they go out.

psi on a 2000 Chevy truck, place the key in the on position the fuel pressure should be between 50- 60 psi....The General Motors test for this is the pressure should NOT drop more than 6-8 psi during the first 10 secounds, if it does check you fuel lines for leakes at the filter and check the check ball in the fuel system
