**I just had my 93 Vic with 60k miles worked on after finding 4 EGR related codes lighting up the check engine lite. Figured tubes and EGR and pipe needed cleaning ($100) from Ford info sheet. Mechanic cleaned system but found the real problem was the feedback sensor (plastic square at back of intake manifold) was defective $130 installed. It tells the computer that the EGR is working properly. The Dealer will charge $110 just to run diagnostics on a pre 96 car so find a garage who can run codes for free before doing anything!! After 1996 any car parts store will tell you for free and tell you how to fix it.
