If the fuse blows when you turn the ignition on in a Datsun 240Z, it typically indicates a short circuit or an electrical fault in the ignition system or related wiring. Common culprits include damaged wiring, faulty ignition switch, or malfunctioning components like the ignition coil or starter. Inspect the wiring harness for frayed or exposed wires, and test the ignition components for proper functionality. Replacing the blown fuse alone won’t solve the problem; it's crucial to identify and rectify the underlying issue to prevent future fuse failures.
If the 1990 Chevy Lumina is blowing the DIS 10 Amp fuse when the ignition is on, check to make sure that all wires coming from this fuse are grounded properly. Also check to make sure the starter is wired properly. There could also be a loose wire in the dash near the ignition.

To remove the lock cylinder from a Datsun 240Z ignition assembly, first, ensure the ignition is in the "Off" position. Locate the small pin or release tab on the side of the ignition switch housing; you may need to insert a small tool, like a paperclip, to press down on it. While holding the pin down, turn the key to the "On" position and gently pull the lock cylinder out of the ignition assembly. Always refer to a service manual for specific details related to your model year.

Hi, The condenser or the coil could be bad, i.e. a dead short or the ignitor, the main relay could also be shorted . Those are what I'd look at first as they are all protected by the 15A fuse.
