well, if you have problems getting it into other gears, then it could be a linkage issue. however, more thank likely, it is a transmission issue. check the fluid, make sure that it is full. (sometimes it will not go into gear if there is not enough fluid in the transmission.) otherwise, get ready for a transmission repair or replacement.
bad transmission
bad transmission..... expensive repair.
Bad transmission? Bent shift linkage?
This is caused most likely by the transmission is going bad. Need to repair asap
Likely either a bad/failing motor mount, or a bad transmission mount. Is it a manual or automatic transmission? If it's automatic; the clutch that controls the reverse gear could be going bad. Have your mounts checked first. Simple, easy to replace, and the least expensive of the repair solutions vs. a bad transmission or clutch.
This can be caused by anything from a bad sensor to transmission going bad. A transmission mechanic can check for engine codes and other tests to verify if it is a simple fix or major repair.
Depends if you plan to fix it. The more you drive it, the more expensive the repair will get. If you dont care, drive it till it wont drive anymore.
For the Reverse problem, you could have low transmission fluid, or a bad transmission. For starting in drive, just about every modern car will not start when the transmission is in gear. They will only start in Park or Neutral. This is a safety feature to prevent the car from taking off into someone or something when started.
Check fluid level Could be a bad pump inside the transmission
Yes, EVERYTHING he did was bad!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bad reverse clutch in the tranny
Bad bulbs can be the cause of your reverse lights not working on your 1999 Toyota Tacoma. A problem with the reverse switch or bad wires can also be the cause of your reverse lights not working.
