To remove the center console in a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire, start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for safety. Then, remove the screws located in the storage compartment and any visible screws along the sides of the console. Carefully pry up the console, disconnect any electrical connectors for the lighter or other components, and lift it out of the vehicle. Ensure you check for any hidden screws or clips before fully removing the console.
The center console is held on by several mounting screws. To remove it from a Pontiac Sunfire unscrew all of the mounting hardware. The center console will then be able to be pried off.
