carb, cam, intake, headers, heads, msd igntion, or a 350
yes
Depends on the cam.

I don't doubt that someone makes a chip for the 305 but it will be expensive and you won't notice much difference. Here is the cheapest and easiest way to gain horsepower from your gutless 305. I am not busting your chops, I had a 1985 Caprice with a 305 and a 1992 Caprice with a 305. Go an buy a K&N airfilter. These air filters kick class and will give you much more air intake which = horsepower. The air fliters cost me about $42 at Advance Auto. They also offer a K&N cold air system which replaces all the original air intakes with a healthy looking air sucker. From what I have read and heard, that gives you a dramatic increase in horsepower. I think they run around a hundred but I didn't check because I didn't know about them until after the fact. Now to the down and dirty. To really add horsepower install a Flowmaster exhaust sytem. Flowmaster is the standard for performance exhausts. Plan to spend about a grand on that. The bottom line is this, the 305CID, or as it is now known, the 5.0L Chevey engine was never much of a performance engine. It has small valves and a crappy cam so you can never expect much from them. If I wanted power I would drop about $4000 and buy a 350/350 crate motor but that would fry your TH-350 or 400 in short order.
To add more horsepower to your 1977 Caprice Classic, consider upgrading the engine with a higher-performance intake manifold and carburetor for better airflow and fuel delivery. Installing a performance exhaust system can also enhance power by improving exhaust flow. Additionally, tuning the engine with a performance chip or adjusting the timing can yield further gains. Lastly, consider swapping in a more powerful engine, such as a small block or big block V8, for significant horsepower increases.
adding headers will allow engine to breath better and boost up horsepower but not by much, headers also make you vehicle louder with pipes.
add an air intake and full exhaust system if you havent yet done that

The 1985 stock 305 TPI was rated at 215 horsepower. The 1986 had a milder cam and slighty less horses, I belive 205. Correct....the HP is rated at 215, but it produces a lot of torque. A quick way to add about 15 hp is to install an air foil for about $70.00. The air foil installs where the hose connects to the air intake on the engine. It's a quick and easy install. I added a Flowmaster catback exhaust and K&N air filters and a hyperchip. Not impressed with the chip. The Flowmasters and K&N filters did much more than the chip. Engine runs much cooler.
How much horsepower does power commander add to 2012 R1
A .030 bore alone wouldn't add enough horse power to even feel. Now, add flat top pistons, a good cam, headers, maybe a decent set of heads and carb you'd see improvement. But if you added that to a stock bore 305 you'd see the same results.
Start with a cold air intake, then add headers. If you want 100 or more horsepower instantly add nitrous
