To change the window motor in a 1971 Buick Riviera, first, remove the door panel by unscrewing any fasteners and gently prying it off. Disconnect the window motor's electrical connector and remove the mounting screws to take out the old motor. Install the new motor by reversing the process: secure it with screws, reconnect the electrical connector, and reattach the door panel. Finally, test the window operation before fully securing the door panel.
