To fix the trunk motor on a 1992 Buick Roadmaster, first, check the fuse related to the trunk release mechanism, as a blown fuse can prevent the motor from functioning. If the fuse is intact, inspect the wiring and connections for any signs of damage or corrosion. If the motor itself is faulty, you may need to remove it and either repair or replace it with a new or refurbished part. Finally, reassemble everything and test the trunk motor to ensure it operates correctly.
antifreeze leaking into the oil pan
replace the truck motor, or spray the existing one with wd40 to be sure all moving parts are well oiled.
I am going to answer my own question......As I have had this problem before, my first thought was the pull down motor had gone out again. I replaced it aprox 12 years ago and thought the motor had died again as I use the trunk all the time. Easy fix this time.....what could it hurt (?)......changed the fuse......it worked!
cHECK THE FUSE IN THE FUSE PANEL.
No. The gas tank is a sealed tank below the trunk.
To fix a trunk on a 1993 Buick Riviera that is stuck open, first, check the trunk release mechanism and the latch for any visible obstructions or damage. If the latch is stuck, try using a lubricant like WD-40 to loosen it. Additionally, inspect the trunk release switch and wiring for any faults. If these steps don't work, you may need to manually disengage the latch or consult a professional for further assistance.
To fix the proportioning valve on a 1992 Buick Roadmaster, first, safely lift the vehicle and remove the rear wheels for access. Inspect the valve for leaks or damage and replace it if necessary. If the valve is functioning but improperly adjusted, bleed the brake system to ensure proper fluid flow and adjust the valve according to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, test the brakes to ensure proper operation before putting the vehicle back on the road.
IF YOU MEAN THAT THE TRUNK PULLDOWN MOTOR WON'T WORK SOMETIME, IT COULD BE THAT THE BOTTOM SWITCH, THE ONE THAT IS SPRING LOADED AND MOUNTED ON THE MOTOR IS GOING BAD. THIS SWITCH IS SEALED BUT CORROSION STILL GETS TO IT.THIS IS THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM.THE SWITCH IS A $20.00 ITEM AT A BUICK DEALER.I DON'T KNOW WHAT CADILLAC CHARGES. GOOD LUCK PAUL G
Check the 20 amp fuse on the passenger fuse panel If you hear the relay activating, check the solenoid in the trunk.
My 93 road master cuts out when i come to a complete stop. The rpm levels drop below 0. What can i do to fix this problem or can you tell me what causes this to happen
To fix the brake lights on a 1994 Buick Roadmaster, first check the fuse for the brake lights in the fuse box; replace it if it's blown. Next, inspect the brake light bulbs for any burnout and replace them if necessary. If the bulbs and fuse are fine, examine the brake light switch, located near the brake pedal, for proper functioning or any disconnections. If the issue persists, consider checking the wiring for any damage or corrosion.
If it's the lock itself and not the latch, you might as well replace the lock.
