Hope this helps.
"G" OK ITS THE METAL PART THAT GOES IN THE ENGIE
There is only one crank sensor fitted, you may also have a cam sensor. the crank sensor is located either around the bellhousing or around the front crank pulley. It either has 2 or 3 wires. It picks the signal off the revolving crank so look for a sensor in the block near flywheel.
It's on the back of the engine....and hell to get to. Better off taking to a garage. I just broke mine off. Now I have to drop the oil pan and drive it back out.
There is a tone wheel on the crank/flywheel that the sensor reads off of, if that is your question.
To remove and replace the crank sensor on a Peugeot 106, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical issues. Locate the crank sensor, typically found near the crankshaft or engine block, and disconnect its electrical connector. Remove the mounting bolt(s) and gently pull the sensor out; then, install the new sensor by reversing the process and ensuring it’s securely fastened before reconnecting the battery.
fuel pump or crank sensor
No, The pcm has to see a signal from the sensor
On a 4.0 V-6 the crank position sensor is in a fixed location and cannot come in contact with the crank if it is installed correctly.
there is a bolt off to the right off the sensor take it out and it should just pull right out.
Yes it can.
IS this a 5.2, if so the crank sensor is on the passenger side of the engine, in the far rear, it picks up off the flywheel, the cam sensor is located inside the distributor (it is the pick up coil).
Bore the block .040" oversize and put in a 4" stroke crank.
The easiest way I have found is to push the broken sensor all the way in the block and turn the crankshaft. This action will break the sensor off in pieces as they will fall into the oil pan. This may sound like a dumb idea to some , but it has worked for years. I find that with most of those sensors have a plastic housing, so just put a bit of heat on them and they will shrink and you can just pull it right out easy.
