You pull the cotter pin out of the axle nut remove the nut ,remove the 4 retaining bolts,and pull the flange off with a good heavy made 3 jaw gear puller you will probally nead a breaker bar or impact wrench to do this DO NOT FORGET TO SET THE PARKING BRAKE , CHOCK THE WHEELS , AND HAVE THE CAR ON A JACK STAND,OR SUPPORTED WITH A SOLID WOODEN BLOCK SAY A 1 FOOT SQUARE OR LARGER ( DO NOT USE CONCREETE BLOCKS,BRICKS,STONES,OR THE JACK THAT COMES FACTORY WITH THE CAR I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE GET HURT OR KILLED LIKE THAT, FROM THE CAR FALLING ON THEM).
Remove the lower cover plate on the transmission to engine to gain access to the bolts and remove them. You will have to rotate the flywheel to get to all of them. Remove the driveshaft and drop the transmission.
