When the ignition is first turned on you should hear the pump start up. If you do then the pump is getting power. There is a port on the fuel rail where you can put a gauge to see if the pump is putting out pressure.
Check the fuel pump relay and fuse.
Bad accelerator Pump? Bad float? Wrong, fuel pump check valve. new fuel pump is on order, or add a check valve.
Being a GM, one reason could be a bad fuel pump, another reason could be a bad fuel pump and then again it could be a bad fuel pump. I would check the fuel pump.
check the the pump pressure at the rail
check it
In the fuel tank. Check the fuel pump relay first to make sure the pump is bad.
Assuming its Fuel injected. check the FUEL pump, or the fuel pump relay. there is also a fuel pump fuse under the hood you might check that first. Your problem is most likely a bad fuel pump. If its carburated check the fuel pump or a plugged fuel filer.
Check for fuel delivery (bad fuel pump?) Check for spark (bad coil?) Plugged fuel filter?
Kia does not use a fuel reset. If you are having trouble with the fuel pump check the relay. If it is good you could have a bad pump or a bad ground at the fuel pump, a bad ground is a common problem on these vehicles.

First check your fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gage. If it is good your pump is good. If you have low pressure it could be a bad pump, dirty fuel filter, or clogged fuel line. If you have no pressure then check to make sure the fuel pump is getting power (12 volts) and that is properly grounded. If it is then either the pump is bad or the fuel filter is completely blocked. But first you may want to check to make sure you have gas in your fuel tank.
Fuel pressure test.
