Check the fuel pump relay and fuse.
You say filters? I thought there is only one. You have to find it under the chassis first. The rest is fairly eay.
if changing the fuel filter, and it still stalls out. you have a problem with the fuel not getting to engine.
check the fuse and change the fuel pump relay.
Check your fuel lines and injectors it could be that your fuel pump is going bad, if you have the fuel filter change that out, also change your spark plugs and you will restore your original power. Fuel pump usually the main problem had same problem on my celica.
Check air filter first and then change fuel filter. Fill the fuel filter with diesel before you change it ...
Bad fuel pump?
Yes it can.... if the fuel is so cold it will start to get wax crystals in it. Therefore the engine is not getting enough fuel and you will lose power and is clogging up your fuel filter. Other reasons can be clogged air filter, fuel filter, or water in fuel. Change the air filter and drain the fuel filter or change it if it's a year old or worse older.
if the fuel pump is still running with the ignition off it means that somehow the pump is still receiving power either someone has rewired it incorrectly or there is a short somewhere allowing power to cross over to the fuel pump
fuel filter
check the fuel filter first replace then still a problem , listen for a humming or whine on fuel tank if none change the pump
Has the fuel filter been changed? Also, if it still happens after the new filter, check the fuel pressure.
Fuel Pump recives alectrical power from alternator, change in alternator will change the value of voltage & ampere in the ckt which in turn will change the rate of fuel to the MPFI system. As a low cost measure , in a situation where fule pump is not to be changed but a change in alteranator is there, fuel pump needs to be calibrated w.r.t. top the desired metered fuel & with ECU in tandem sp that KMPL & Toruque & speed characterstics do not get disturbed.
