Well if your vehicle was just serviced at a licensed garage or repair facility they should have done it for you. If you did your own repairs then I would have a couple questions. Who diagnosed why the engine light came on and how was the information retrieved from the compoutor?. If you went to auto zone or chiefs and they pulled the codes from your computer for you and you bought parts from them (hopefully they knew how to diagnos a vehicle properly) they will reset the light for you. If you did the repair yourself and don't have access to a scanner I would rec the following. Go buy a memory saver, its a tool that runs on a 9 volt battery and plus into your cigarette lighter and disconnect your negative battery cable 1st then the positive cable. Leave them disconnected for 3 minutes then reconnect the positive cable 1st then the negative and that will reset the engine light. If you don't buy a memory saver (it costs about $7 at auto zone) and you have a theft deturant radio it will not work unless you have the code for it. If the engine light comes back on within 100 miles the problem wasn't fixed and I would recommend to go have it diagnosed by a professional. Any questions you can email me at drodean64@gmail.com
