You have to remove the oil line from the oil filter housing. To do this you must push the line into the housing and use something to push the plastic quick connects into the housing and then pull the line out. I used a pair of needle nose pliers. This one was a real pain to do and when you reinstall the new lines and quick connects, when you think you've pushed the line in far enough keep pushing. It will give a good snap when it goes all the way in. This was on a 94 Chevy Fullsize Blazer and also 91 silverado.

How do you replace oil cooler line on 1996 Chevy Suburban?

The oil cooler isw up front in a suburban. Get a drain pan and a shop rag. Get under the vehicle with the line wrench to take the line from the cooler off at the radiator. Unbolt the cooler from the frame and take off the line from the transmission. If you are replacing the hose only or repairing it, just remove the hose and replace. Oh! and be sure to replace any fluid loss in the tranny with the correct fluid which any parts store would know.

I have a 1995 Chevrolet K1500 350 i have a leaking oil pan leaking oil cooler lines and the back of my intake is leaking is the oil pan gasket any different to change than the 2wd?

Go slow. Don't take the WHOLE thing apart. Just repair the oil cooler first and see what leaks. The 350 tends to have problems with the o-rings on the oil cooler line. Repair that first if you aren't absolutely certain that oil isn't just leaking on everything else from the cooler. On the other hand, if you're ABSOLUTELY certain that you have to replace the oil pan gasket, you'll need to raise the engine to replace the gasket. To raise the engnine, pull the motor mounts and lift the engine 4 to 6 inches, then you can pull the pan bolts and drop the pan.

Can i fit an oil cooler to a Chevy 350 engine?

Yes. There are aftermarket suppliers that offer oil coolers that use the oil pan's drain plug as an access point. INTO? Many of the 350's have an external oil cooler. It was standard equipment on pickups with the towing package, and in fact it was a bit of a problem for a few years since the engine oil coolant line often leaked when everything else was still tight.
