You have to get a special socket at the auto store.
What about 1993 Pontiac drum brakes, please be specific.
Since no one should really want to disconnect their brakes, this question might be asking how to repair / replace rear brake pads or shoes.Assuming that to be the case, See "Related Questions" below for more about rear drum and disc type brakes on Taurus / Sables.
I don't know about the Isuzu, but the 93-97 Altimas had front disc brakes and rear brakes were standard drum, or optional discs.
To replace the rear brakes on a 1993 Toyota pickup, start by lifting the vehicle and securely supporting it with jack stands. Remove the rear wheels and then the brake drum by pulling it off; if it's stuck, gently tap it with a hammer. Replace the brake shoes by removing the retaining springs and hardware, then install the new shoes in the same configuration, ensuring everything is secured. Finally, reassemble the drum and wheel, and repeat for the other side before lowering the vehicle.
does a 93 f150 have a 1piece rear main seal
replace calipers in pairs. replace brake hoses at the same time.
Replace the rotors. They may be warped or have hard spots that will cause this. Turning does not always help best to replace them
How long is a piece of string ????
Either you have no brake pad left or the rotors themselves are warped. While you're checking/changing these, might as well bleed your brakes to prevent any future malfunctions.
if you have a brake shoe on rear brakes, you do not have rear disk brakes pads go on disks.shoes go on drum brakes
I don't mean to be glib or sarcastic, but when I bought my new rear brakes at a chain auto-parts store, for a few dollars I got a Rear Drum Brake Kit made specifically for my '93 Cherokee Country. With the kit are picture directions that can explain better than just seeing it in text. You will also want a brake spring remover (nominal cost, ask the clerk) and a needle-nose pliers. Good luck!
