Daytime running lights (DRLs) may not work while other lights function due to a blown fuse specific to the DRL circuit, a faulty DRL relay, or a malfunctioning sensor that detects ambient light. In some vehicles, DRLs can also be disabled through the vehicle's settings or may be affected by a malfunctioning control module.

The daytime running lights on a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire might not work due to a blown fuse, a faulty relay, or a malfunctioning light sensor that controls the operation of the lights.
