connect a piece of heater hose from the thermostate housing (where one of the hoses connected to from the heater core already is) to the connector for the coolant at the bottom of the enigine (where the second line should be connected).
What causes a 1997 Pontiac sunfire gt with a 2.4 liter engine to stall when stopped at a light
no.... Pontiac changed to a new transmission in 2000
presuming that your GT is very similar to my '96 non-GT, yes. There are two belts available. One for cars with AC and one for cars without AC. If you buy the one for the cars without, you can bypass the condenser.
I have a 1998 Pontiac sunfire gt and it is on the side of the gear shifter (automatic) however, if it is standard then I am unsure.
the Gt is a 2.4 liter and the GTX is a 2.2liter
Have a look at this webpage; http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/1995-to-2005-pontiac-sunfire-6.htm It has a pretty good history of Sunfire changes and options. FriPilot
Coolant is all pretty much the same from manufacturer to manufacturer. Check your owner's manual to find out the right mixture for your Sunfire
