the speed sensors are located on the back side of the rear wheeles.sometimes the abs sensors behind the front rotors are refferd to as speed sensors as well.
This is kind of a curious question. Is the transmission pan off the car? Did you findno fluid in the pan or falling out of the transmission when you removed the pan?If it was dry, this is a bad thing.
