Release the drive belt tension and remove the belt from the pump pulley. depending on the engine type the pump will be above or below the alternator, if below it is easier to access from underneath the car. Clamp the flow and return hoses with large brake clamps to minimise fluid loss. Undo all hose connections, if they are the original Peugeot type then they will have to cut off and thrown away (replace with jubilee clips / worm drive hose clips). The feed to the pump has a union nut to be undone be careful not to lose the O ring, fit a new O ring if possible. It may be easier to remove the pump pulley to get at some of the mounting boltsUnscrew the 4 mounting bolts and remove the pump. Refitting is just the reverse of above but the drive belt will need to be tensioned.Tensioning - Petrol models about 5mm of movement in the longest part of belt the same for diesel engine.Bleeding the systemRemove the fluid container cap.Fill the resevoirWith the engine STOPPED, turn the steering wheel from side to side until the fluid level remains stable. With engine RUNNING, repeat the wheel movements, air bubbles may be seen in the reservoir, repeat until free of bubbles. If when turning the wheels a noise is heard from the fluid pipes then there is still air in the system. When happy that clear of air, let the car stand for a while, then recheck the fluid level and fill to its maximum mark if needed.
