To change the rear end on a 1999 Firebird, start by securely lifting the vehicle and removing the rear wheels and brakes. Next, disconnect the driveshaft, unbolt the differential cover, and remove the old rear end by unbolting it from the mounting points. Install the new rear end by reversing the process, ensuring all components are properly aligned and torqued to specifications. Finally, refill the differential with the appropriate gear oil before reassembling the brakes and wheels.
Direct bolt up NO. You will have to do some modifying and also change the off set of the rear wheels.
