To be honest it is pretty tough to do. In most cases, the intake gasket is bad also. I would strongly recommend taking it to a professional. This is not a job for the do it yourself in the back yard just to save some money. If you decide to attempt it, a good repair manual will be a good guide. Take pictures with a digital camera at almost every step for a reference. Once you tear it down make sure you send the heads out to be pressure tested to make sure there are no cracks. Once again I would recommend taking it to a mechanic to have it done.
