To remove the ignition switch on a 1985 Bronco II, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Then, remove the steering column cover by unscrewing the screws that hold it in place. Next, locate the ignition switch, which is typically mounted on the steering column; unscrew it and disconnect the wiring harness. Finally, pull the ignition switch out from its position for replacement or repair.
