To change the spark plugs on an '89 Pontiac Firebird with long tube headers, first, ensure the engine is cool. Remove any necessary components that may obstruct access to the spark plugs, such as the intake or wiring harness. Use a spark plug socket and a ratchet to carefully unscrew and remove the old plugs, then install the new ones, ensuring they are properly gapped and torqued to the manufacturer's specifications. Reassemble any removed parts and reconnect the spark plug wires.
Give it a tune up. Change the spark plugs and wires..
It mostly depends on the performance of that particular vehicle. It usually is on the 'in-between tiimes' of when you exchange spark plugs and spark plug wires...the wisest choice would be are times after every three-times when you change the plugs and wires, then change the distributor...after every three times changed. Again, it depends on the 'how' you perform or drive the car. esp- a performance vehicle.
Approx 10,000 ohms per foot of wire.
there is no distributor on a 1994 firebird v6. It is a DIS and uses coil packs. there will be 3 coil packs and it should be listed on them which cylinder iteach coil goes to.

To change the spark plugs on a Pontiac Fiero, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the spark plug wires, noting their order for reinstallation, and use a spark plug socket to unscrew the old plugs. Inspect the plugs for wear, then install new plugs by hand to avoid cross-threading, and tighten them to the manufacturer’s specifications. Finally, reconnect the spark plug wires and the battery cable.
The spark plugs on a 2004 Pontiac Vibe are changed by removing the plug cover, disconnecting the spark plug wires, and taking out individual spark plugs using a deep wall socket. New plugs are then set to the proper gap and torqued into place.
