To change the headlight switch on a 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Remove the dashboard panel surrounding the switch, which may involve unscrewing several screws. Then, disconnect the wiring harness from the old switch and remove it by unscrewing any mounting screws. Install the new switch by reversing the process, reconnecting the wiring harness, and reattaching the dashboard panel before reconnecting the battery.
