Drain some of coolant by opening pitcock. Then remove oil fill tube by twisting it about quarter turn. The plastic top engine cover just lifts straight up. Remove engine end of top radiator hose and tuck it out of the way. You can get to sensor with top motor in place but alot easier if removed. Then unplug sensor from wiring harness. Now you can remove sensor from engine with 19mm or I found out easier to remove with 3/4. You can remove with socket and ratchet but alot easier with ratching wrench. Reinstall using Teflon tape on threads of sensor. reinstall in opposite order.
what about it?
take the gas tank down and replace the fuel sensor.
The fuel sensor is bad and it's inside the gas tank, you have to pull the tank down to fix it.
The fuel sensor is in the gas tank and probably needs replaced, the tank will have to come out to fix it.
No
I have a 1996 Monte Carlo Z34, and I've noticed that the fuel gauge reading will bounce around whenever the car is tipped up or down as the fuel sloshes around in the gas tank.
i dont speak car!
no power at the sending unit.
Yes it can depending on driving conditions.
If the speedo in an 04 Monte Carlo doesnot work it is the stepper motor in the cluster. Go to eBay 04 Monte Carlo cluster stepper motors scroll down and by a set of motors .INSTRUTIONS COME WITH THEM TO REPLACE THEM vERY SIMPLE TO DO SO.
The value of a 1962 Remington Wingmaster 12 gauge model 870TC with a Monte Carlo stock depends on its condition. This gun in excellent in condition is valued between 250.00 and 325.00 as of 2014.
If you are referring to the fuel sending unit that works the gauge then you will have to drop the gas tank. In any case you need to buy a Haynes Manual and it will give you the full details.jd
