It depends on the year and the engine size. On the 3.8 the 3 coil packs are located at the front of the engine on the right (passenger)side of the vehicle above the ECM. They are held down with 2 small metric screws. Disconnect the sparkplug wires noting where each goes and replace the packs, changing the rubber gasket around the electrical connection and applying dielectric grease to the top of the ECM and the wire connectors. On the 3.4 they are much harder to access. They attach the same way accept they are at the top, rear of the engine compartment, toward the center.

At 6500-11500 ohms, the resistance on the ignition coil is okay. If the resistance exceeds 11500 or below 6500, the coil requires replacement.
