The oil pressure sending unit on my 1997 silverado is on the top of the engine behind the intake manifold. It took a while to find it.I had to climb on top of the engine and look down to the block up near the firewall I was having eratic oil pressure readings and the sending unit was the problem.
Need to know engine size.
It is inside of the fuel tank and can be removed from the top of the tank.
It is inside of the fuel tank attached to the fuel pump sending unit.
It is in the drivers side head by the front spark plug,
In back of the engine, on top, drivers side, next to the distributor.
if it is an 350 eng it is located at the rear of the intake manifold,on the top of the block, next to the dist.
Faceing the engine its under the dis-cap on the right side. It is also very hard to get to, I advise the help of a profesional tech to change.
