To change the rear brake pads on a 2004 Pontiac GTO, you will need the following tools: a lug wrench to remove the wheel, a C-clamp or brake caliper tool to compress the caliper piston, a socket set or wrench to remove the caliper bolts, and possibly a torque wrench to ensure proper reassembly. Additionally, having a brake cleaner and a bungee cord or rope to hold the caliper up while working can be helpful. Always ensure you have safety equipment, such as gloves and goggles, for protection.
