As I was poking around the truck trying to figure it out. My wife asked wouldn't that information be in the owners manual? I said "naaaa" they don't put that kind of information in the owners manual. The only thing I found was two really small screws located on the inside edge as you open the tailgate. As I was loosening these screws my wife found the information IN THE OWNERS MANUAL on page 294. "Replacing tail/brake/turn/backup lamp bulbs: 1.) Make sure the headlamp switch is in the OFF position, then open the liftgate to expose the lamp assembly screws. 2.) Remove the two screws from the lamp assembly. 3.) Pull the lamp assembly towards the rear and side of the vehicle at an angle carefully removing it from the vehicle. 4.) Rotate the bulb socket counterclockwise and remove from the lamp assembly. 5.) Pull the bulb straight out of the socket and push in the new bulb. 6.) To complete installation, follow the removal procedure in reverse order." Note---> These screws are only screwed into plastic! Do NOT overtighten them!
