To check the air conditioning system in a 1999 Chevy S10, start by inspecting the A/C compressor for any signs of wear or damage. Next, ensure that the refrigerant level is adequate by connecting a manifold gauge set to the service ports and checking the pressure readings. Listen for any unusual sounds when the A/C is turned on, and check for proper airflow from the vents, ensuring the climate control settings are functioning correctly. If issues persist, consider consulting a professional for a more thorough diagnosis.
