92 is PRE-OBDII, so you'll have to get a GM specific code reader. They aren't too expensive, usually about $35 - $45 depending on where you get them. They include instructions and diagnostic codes. The code readers generally plug in below and to the left of a GM steering column, just above where your left shin would be if you were driving.

Actually, the 95 was one of the first with an OBDII, so a ODBII code reader will work, but most auto part stores will not check it, even though it has an ODBII (you can lie and tell them it is a 96 and they'll do it). The code reader attaches below the steering column.
