just take down the old one and bolt up the new one and you will have to run a vacum line to the tranny just did it to my 87 chevy caprice but i had to get my drive shaft shortened
turbo 350 or 700r4 turbo 350 or 700r4
No
No.
Turbo 300, Turbo 350, Turbo 400 and 700R4 are the first ones that came to mind.
If, as you state, the vehicle is a 5 speed, then I am not sure what you might have. If I recall, the manual tranny was a SM465 4 spd and the auto was a 700 R4. if the truck has over drive and is an auto it is a 700r4 if it doesn't and is auto it is a 350
I have installed a 700r4 in place of a 350 in my 1959 chev and used the same flex plate with no problem.
I have a 350 turbo in mine Just about any transmission will work! Powerglide, Turbo 350 (lockup or non) or Turbo 400, even 700r4.
9 inch tail shaft
Everything I've heard, no they will not...
No it will not. Because it is a lock-up converter and the 350 turbo is not set up for a lock-up converter.
yes you can
