Cannot be diabled without removing the keyless entry module
What I did on my 1995 Explorer was : enter the factory 5 digit code on the keypad ( not my personal code ) Within 5 seconds press and hold the 7/8 button within 5 more seconds , press and release the 3/4 button Then release the 7/8 button
Hi, if it is a keypad one, lift the keypad from the centre console, put in the correct code and start the car, when the car is running remove the plug from the back of the keypad. You will then be able to start without inputing any code.Best wishes, Jim.
To activate the autolock feature: Enter the five-digit permanent entry code into keyless entry keypad (This can be founnd on a sticker inside your trunk if you don't know it.). Press and hold the 7/8 button on the keyless entry keypad within five seconds of entering the code. Press and then release the 3/4 button within five seconds of pressing and holding the 7/8 button. Release the 7/8 button on keyless entry keypad within five seconds of releasing the 3/4 button. To deactivate the autolock, repeat the above sequence.
