Get John Muirs -"How to keep your Volkswagen alive, A manual for the Compleat Idiot" and Bentleys "workshop manual". They have a huge amount of info, John Muir is a "real world" work-book and the Bently Manual is the VW "Official Workshop Manual" . Well i would either disconnect the fuel line that comes from the chassis metal line to the rubber fuel line to the motor behind the drivers side rear wheel, just get another fuel line and hurry and put on the metal tube so you can direct it where you want it. Or you can disconnect it under the tank in front, on the Passenger(?) side from the rubber line to the metal line that goes into the chassis.
