Most likely the module for the control is burnt. If so, even with the a/c on, you will get only hot air. If it is confirmed that this is the problem, ( electronic Climate Control model's ) a new module cost is around $ 80.00 if I remember correctly. The sorry news is that the labor takes about 5 to 8 hours to get at that little module that Ford placed way behind the dash. The steering column has to be dropped and the dash has to be pulled away. Its on the passenger side right at the firewall This turns into a major job which will take some time and patience, along with some small tools. Please be sure that this is the problem, check with your local Ford dealer for the exact name of the part ( I forget what they call the part ) and also if the parts person can give you any other ideas. They are usually very helpful. It is possible that it could be something else. Good luck.
