Depends on your year. I have a 2000 Dodge dakota 4.7 slt 4x4. On mine all i had to do was remove the wheel, caliper, and rotor. Then i removed the axle bolt at the center of the hub. Gave the axle a tap wth a hammer to loosen, and used my crowbar to un-snug the cv half shaft from the transmition by prying it out.
I saw a guy on YouTube with a Durango that had his cv half shaft bolted right onto the transmission case, just depends on your model. Unbolting is easier than prying the B**** off though.
The Dodge Dakota was originally taken off of Dodge in 2009, then renamed the RAM Dakota until 2012.
You have to get a punch and a hammer and drive out the roll pin from the clevis on the shaft of the imput steering gear and then tap it off with a hammer
No such part on a Dakota. No such part on a Dakota.
What year is the Dakota and what is the make and model of the 1998 Dodge that the compressor came off of ????????
you have to take the tire off then remove the cotter pen from the axe nut remove that nut this nut is in the middle of the rotor hit the end of the half shaft with hammer the get lose hit where the nut went next take out there might be a c clip youll need snap ring pliers also you might need to take off the tie rod end to make it easyer to do this take off cotter pin nut and hit the end with hammer
if it is the same size and year then yes but you will need oil pan off dakota.
Overdrive off
Not equipped with a cut off switch.
Does anyone know how to take off a radiator fan clutch from a 1998 Dodge Dakota 3.9 V6
If it's a clunk sound, check universal joint bearings and drive shaft bolts. Otherwise please describe noise.
No, it does not have one.
if 4x2 only 1 differential which is the pumpkin between your rear axle, if 4x4, there will be a transfer case at the front of the vehicle coming off of the transmission going to front drive shaft and front differential.
