To exit manual mode in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, simply shift the gear lever from the "M" (manual) position back to the "D" (drive) position. This will switch the transmission back to automatic mode. If your vehicle has paddle shifters, ensure that they are not engaged, as this can also keep the vehicle in manual mode. Always refer to your owner’s manual for specific instructions related to your model year.
To reprogram a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee keyless entry remote, first, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine. Within 10 seconds, turn the key to the "Off" position and back to "On" three times, ending in the "On" position. After a chime sounds, press any button on the remote to program it. Repeat this step for additional remotes, then turn the ignition to "Off" to exit programming mode.
To engage the 4WD in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, locate the 4WD control switch on the center console. Depending on your model, you may have a part-time or full-time transfer case. Shift the transmission into neutral, then turn the 4WD switch to the desired mode (such as 4H for high-range or 4L for low-range) and ensure the indicator light on the dashboard confirms the selection. Once engaged, shift the transmission back into gear to drive.

It should come out just from moving the stick to the 2wd mode but a lot of the times you have to move in reverse for 40 or 50 feet. You should simply be able to push the handle to the 2wd mode but many times it'll indicate that you're no longer in 4wd when you're really still in. You sometimes have to drive the vehicle in reverse for 40 or 50 feet. It should come out by then. You can check it by making tight turns and see how the steering feels.
