un hook the negitve on the battery. then unhook all the wires from the back of the starter solenoid. then put the two bolts that hod the starter to the block, should be out after that.
if it is a hei ignition there is a place on the distributor cap that says tach.
It is on the top of the starter. The solanoid is what the starter wires hook to.
There should be two on the large terminal and one on the small terminal I believe the small terminal is labeled S
take off the passenger side front tire and you will be able to see it on the bottom is the engine the battery cable is hook to it and it will be easy to change
If no one has clipped the ends on the wire, the little ones have different size holes in them and will only go on the right terminals. I believe Chevy only uses the small terminal closest to the motor.
