remove panel under drivers dash follow the brake pedal whre it goes up under dash. you will see a switch that contacts the brake pedal arm about 6 or 7 inches up from pedal. unplug the wire connector and just pull switch out it does not screw out it will click as you pull it because a spring tab holds the switch by the threads in the switch. once removed you will notice a button on the end of switch when no pressure is on the switch the switch is in closed circuit position and means power is going to rear brake lights put new switch on connector before mounting it do the stop lights work? yes put the switch back in and adjust as need by changing how deep the switch is in its mount.. no lights check for power on connector no power check fuses than check turn signal switch by wiggling it around while some looks foe lights a bad turn signal switch could cancel you brake lights if there is power on both sides of switch it means power and switch are good check bad bulbs or bad wire harness
